As a species, Cypress gained favor with Native Americans for its durability, stability, and water/rot resistance. As a result, its properties made it ideal to use for dugout canoes. The Seminole, in particular, loved Cypress, and we have taken this once-favored wood of our indigenous peoples and repurposed it for custom home dining tables.
Our Cypress is sourced mainly from two states: Louisiana and Florida. Both of these states are famous for their supply of antique lumber, and we are careful to hand-select only the finest planks for your dining table.
We also take pride in repurposing Cypress that is salvaged from deconstructed barns and homes from the 18th and 19th centuries. We have a network of salvage yards that supply us with properly treated, reused lumber that allows us to upcycle something from yesteryear and give you a table with a unique story!
Our workshop offers this table with a traditional-turned farmhouse leg made from pine.
Shipping and delivery are included in the price. The top and base will ship separated, and we will provide the mounting hardware for easy installation. Using threaded fasteners, it's a matter of simply lining up two holes and screwing in the provided bolts to get your table up and running.
